You do not thank them every time from then on if they are being nice

The simple fact that people here are really acting like this can be a significant gesture is so fucking baffling. EA literally moved out of its way to Madden 21 coins scrub his title from their games two years right, but this thread is making it look like they have contributed millions. It is the very definition of slacktivism. It'd be more fair if they had said nothing in any way. Instead, they are gonna push out a bullshit PR statement about how they stand with the black community and then in a few months turn around and sell a product featuring an organization which has a history of stifling and punishing black voices. I never mentioned"Let us attack a business for doing the right thing." My point, which I've tried to clarify in an edit, is that we shouldn't PRAISE companies for doing the bare minimum of human decency when they've shown in the past to be against what they're asserting. Actions speak louder than words. You can always be optimistic of matters looking up, which I often am. If your buddy hurts your feelings, then they have to regain your confidence.

You do not thank them every time from then on if they are being nice. Wait, why don't you? If a friend of mine hurt me and then made an attempt to be nice I'd absolutely need to tell them that I appreciate their efforts. Positive reinforcement is a good thing. It assists humans behave better, who is to say it can not create a company act better too? If EA derived no benefits from"doing the bare minimum of human decency" then they wouldn't do even the bare minimum. It's worth rewarding them for it like it is well worth rewarding a problem child for doing their best to get daily. The difference is you positively reinforce ACTION, not words. Benefits come from good behaviour, you shouldn't be on good behaviour for the added benefits. When I see EA contribute to the triggers or use initiatives to help out black developers or matters of that type, then I will praise them. We only should require a higher standard and quit letting firms off the hook so easily. I'm of the mindset which offset civilization is mostly poor and people should be invited to change and improve. But we shouldn't allow ourselves to be played by companies that are, at the close of the afternoon, looking to remove all obstacles in the means of getting our money.

Benefits come from great behavior, you shouldn't be on good behavior for those added benefits. And I believe this is true even for individuals too: if you need a person to behave in a moral manner the best way to do that is to give them the ideal incentives and rewards to create acting morally the best and most attractive option for them. If you do not then your society will probably be unstable. This is where I see that this debate breaking down. Corporations aren't people, they do not have any built-in ethical instincts. Should they behave , it's because they gain, there is not any other motive. Either because there's pressure internally from their employees to behave in ways consistent with the morals and beliefs of the employees, or outside pressure from governments or consumers. Once I visit EA contribute to the causes or implement initiatives to help out black developers or things of that type, then I will praise them. We just should require a high standard and quit allowing companies off the buy Madden nfl 21 coins hook so easily.
