I'm unsure that sums up the planned message

I'm unsure that sums up the planned message. My remark explains why these two changes haven't been made together with some info that is related. We're open to suggestions which could be possible to implement without detracting from OSRS Gold the point of this subreddit and its own community.

I mean, yeah your previous remark lays out just why the communities suggestions, in your view, are inferior to the machine you have in place now. If anything the view represented by the OP are far more in accordance with this'vision' of the subreddit (needing to include both RS3 and OSRS (which in itself is absurd being they've seperate content, dev teams etc. but like my view guy )) by saying your content has a house here but if its seeing anything in specificity to go elsewhere, very similar to how the Reddit FC is/was operate.

So instead of tuning ity'all yanked it? Tell me how your staff thinks your system is not fine compared to neighborhood ideas. Let's have a thought experiment while I've got your time. I've obtained a e-mail that I believe to be a phishing attempt, I should sift through the wiki, email'email address that if I sort could get me banned for posting a phishing link', receive an answer that says"this email has been stopped", return to this wiki to find you have to report it on the forums, then login to runescape but not about the phishing attempt tab, then return back to the homepage not the forum sub-topic you asked, run the login temple of despair again, locate the sub-topic, then the article and also report the scam.

Rather than requesting a neighborhood of 234,037 individuals and having a bot hit your inbox near instantly with:"If you believe you have received a phishing attempt please verify sender address (example), domain (instance ), here are the usual examples (link). If you have gotten an effort please report it at (helpful navigation to get to forum article."

In regard to our system"working good as is," we're aware that it is not ideal, but there isn't necessarily a solution that satisfies issues from all perspectives. Also, there are other issues taking up our time, and we are just volunteers here, thus we do not always have the time to devote to address some of those smaller problems. My previous comments were meant to explain why the situation stands as it currently does for the specific issues mentioned, maybe not explain why things won't change.

The majority of users see the subreddits as being independent anyway ( runescape = RS3 and 2007 runescape = OSRS), so this is not something we've needed to address prominently because the quantity of OSRS-related admissions here is minimal. One complication with article filtering is it can not be assumed users will always use criteria in a post that will trip a filter as it isn't always the case. AutoModerator filters based on particular standards, so building a precise list that is only specific to everything you're attempting to capture is not always possible.

Some users know how to deliberately bypass filters, making them worthless, and when we make a filter overly broad, more articles are filtered than warranted. This creates more frustration for users and more work for us while we'd prefer to prevent over-moderating. We may look in to attempting to revive a filter to get phishing email questions, but that's something for us to discuss privately amongst the mod team. The previous filter was not able to accomplish what was desired at the moment, so it was disabled for now. These posts do discuss an obsession with other filters within our subreddit, therefore a number of them are eliminated for different reasons.

To explain on the previous sentence out of my previous remark, general, this subreddit is for Runescape's community, and as subreddit mods, we would rather our existence be minimal. While some other subreddits might have an extremely visible mod existence, that's not something we're considering. If we've got an important message to get across, that's 1 thing, but mod posts from us are very infrequent. In short, we believe the subreddit ought to be the community's voice, not the community's voice directed by subreddit mods.

I don't think anyone in any capability anticipates a plug and play solution nor anticipates anyone in the mod group to break their back for no pay. Filters require maintenance to correctly function, take spam blockers for e-mail; that's decades of effort to make sure the Nigerian prince does not make it into your inbox and hell sometimes it still doesn't work, sometimes my 2FA winds up in spam, but we still don't delete a spam filter. I just wish to Buy RS 2007 Gold clarify that I am not here grilling you at some presser or some thing just having a conversation.
