There are well over a hundred League of Legends champions. Some of them are really poorly suited to newcomers because of how complex they are. You're better off sticking with simpler champions that let you focus instead on learning the overall strategy and feel of the game.

Garen

First up on our list is Garen, who, using W provides a boost to his overall defensive abilities. Garen can regenerate health using his passive Perseverance which gives him an edge over other champions. This means you’ll stay in the lane much longer than you might with other Champions. Chain your offensive abilities, and he can deal some pretty devastating damage.

Annie

Annie is a mage who plays in the mid lane and deals great damage to enemies.

Her passive “Pyromania” stuns an enemy after four spell casts. That’s what makes her easy to play for beginners who seek high burst champions who can wipe the enemies in no time.

Just wait for the passive after the fourth spell and go initiate a fight with your Ultimate “Tibbers” and stun the whole enemy team and wipe them immediately!

Yi

If you want to play as a jungler, you should try the Wuju Bladesman, Master Yi. His high mobility and attack speed helps him dominate team fights. With his ultimate granting him slow resistance, a 70% cooldown reduction on Autos and high movement speed, he has the element of surprise when ganking or cleaning up after fights. He’s one of the game’s highest damage-dealing champions with his passive empowering his next attacks with 50% of his Attack Damage. He can also dodge incoming enemy spells with his blink-like first spell while slashing through enemies. Wuju Style, his third spell, empowers his autos for the next 5 seconds. Yi is a champion who snowballs. Get fed early and get your items for an easy victory.

Ashe

Ashe is considered one of the first champions to be released in League of Legends. When you start a tutorial you find Ashe. Ashe is an easy champion for beginners. ADC isn’t an easy role, but as a champion Ashe isn’t complicated.

Ashe’s passive “Frost Shot” makes her slow down enemies with every hit.

Her E “Hawkshot” and her Ultimate “Enchanted Frost Arrow” can cover the entire map. It's easy to grasp this champion in a small period!

Sona

Comparing to Soraka, Sona is a more versatile Support champion with her songs and auras. First of all, Sona’s 3 abilities are songs which can deal damage to enemy, heal allies, and boost movement speed for herself. After Sona plays a song, she will gain an unique aura which gives great buff for herself and her allies. In addition to her songs and auras, her passive Power Chord can buff her next basic attack after playing 3 songs. It also gives her next basic attack a special effect depending on the last song she played. Finally, her ultimate ability Crescendo can cause enemies to “dance” for 1.5 seconds. Furthermore, it even reduces cooldown of all Sona’s basic abilities.
